About Agrozone

Agrozone International Inc. emerged in the spring of 2014 as the North American sales division of Agrozone B.V. based in the Netherlands. Recognizing the importance of aligning with North American standards, such as CSA and UL approvals, the decision was made to establish manufacturing operations within the region, utilizing locally sourced components for enhanced efficiency and compliance. In 2015, our inaugural production facility was launched in Simcoe, Ontario. With Cees de Haan, Justin Oosterveld, and Jamie Werkman at the helm as owners, our journey has been one of perpetual growth and development.

Cees de Haan

I'm Cees de Haan, the founder and innovator behind ozone technology in the global greenhouse industry. Back in 1990, I stumbled upon the remarkable versatility of ozone for water treatment. From then until 2008, my focus was primarily on industrial and drinking water treatment, battling Legionella, and cutting down chlorine levels in public pools. But in 2008, I found my true passion in the thriving greenhouse sector. It was there that I realized the immense potential of ozone in revolutionizing irrigation water quality. How gratifying it was to develop a technology that not only helped clients earn profits but also made significant environmental strides by reducing waste and curbing chemical usage.

Jamie Werkman

I’m James Werkman, Co-owner and Treasurer of Agrozone International Inc. In 2016,

when looking for a career change the opportunity arose to be part of the production of Agrozone’s systems. Moving from a sales & customer service role where consistency and taking care of customers needs was top priority and bringing that into my production & maintenance role with Agrozone, my goal has always been to build good quality equipment and provide the same quality follow up service. With this attention to quality and connection I hope to ensure all of our end users concerns and needs are met and that they can receive the ultimate benefits of having an Agrozone system in place.

Justin Oosterveld

I’m Justin Oosterveld, and I’m co-founder, co-owner, and president of Agrozone International, Inc. I grew up as the son of a potato farmer, working the field myself, learning the many aspects of growing and nurturing a successful crop. In 2008, I graduated from McMaster University receiving a Bachelor’s of Engineering degree, specializing in mechanical engineering. With this degree, I was able to use that knowledge to adapt the European system to the north American market. My ultimate goal has been to protect farmers from the frustration and defeat of disease, low yield, and poor quality by getting the best out of their crop, keeping their product healthy and strong, with less chemical usage.  Working with Cees, we brought Agrozone into North America, making my goal a reality for a growing number of hardworking farmers.
