Freshly harvested fruit and vegetables treatment, together with bulb storage facilities, are the main focusses for Agrozone in regard to air treatment.
When it comes to ozone in the air, one of the main principles that we use at Agrozone is: We are trying to bring the outside conditions inside.
By bringing small amounts of ozone into a storage facility on a continuous basis we can help prevent moulds from growing and sporulating. This in turn keeps the amount of inoculum down in the storage environment, so that that small nicks and cuts, that occurred during harvest and packaging, do not become major sources of waste and shrink
A short time, high dose treatment is also very effective in stopping the sporulation of pathogens on fruit and vegetables and will give the produce greatly extended shelf life.
